It has been a hectic morning indeed. What with the last minute instructions, frenzy callings by my beloved form teacher colleagues to reach absent students, rushing to deliver forgotten items by concerned parents... the icing on the cake has to be the numerous parents standing by the gate and waving good-bye to their dear sons...
Well, I'm proud to announce that all Montfortians are safe and sound at the campsite and are already in the midst of their stations as I type. There had been a slight delay due to the late buses and inprocessing but we are definitely on our way!
I regret to inform that pictures are currently unavailable as the teachers are furiously snapping away right now and so I have no access to their memory cards but please be rest assured selected ones will be displayed once I can.
Lunch was polished off right down to the final vegetable and fruit as the eager beavers were prepared for an exciting camp programme ahead.
Currently, the schedule is as such:
5C - Abseiling/Zipline (AZ) + Challenge Ropes Course (CRC) + Low Elements (LE)
5H - First Aid (FA) + AZ + CRC
5R - Team Building (TB) + FA + AZ
5I - CRC + TB + FA
5S - Sembawang Challenge ("Amazing Race" styled hike)
Weather is beautiful and the Sick Bay is unoccupied!
Pray for continual good weather and an empty Sick Bay!
I'm so glad to hear from you Mr Lai. Yes, we are all praying for excellent weather. Hope our boys are well taken care of. They are all our precious child. Actually, you should at least allow them to call home once a day. This is worst than Army. Army at least allow them to call home. Pleaasssseeee. :)

ReplyDeleteBeen checking back periodically from early afternoon till now. Am rather disappointed that there are still only 3 photos uploaded. We were painted a very different picture during the briefing, so am looking forward to an improvement... Soon?
ReplyDeleteAm sure the boys are doing great - nevertheless as you've said, "A picture is worth a thousand words"
Praise God everything went well on day one. I'm sure the boys are having a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteWill continue to pray for everybody 's safety & great weather. Can't wait to meet my son tomorrow.
May God be with you all.
Can't wait for photos, so I went to the camp to take a peep. Be there to see for myself is better than a picture. More pictures please! @Ms Ho, I will know how to "let go" when my son reached a more mature age. Please keep your comments to yourself.
ReplyDeleteBtw, Mr Lai, great effort to set this blog up. Weather forecast is not promising for tomorrow but by GOD's grace, it will be excellent weather. Let's join efforts to prayer for all the boys for a good night sleep and an excellent weather tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comments parents and my sincere apologies over the lack of pictures. Believe me, I'm prepared to work overtime to get it up.
ReplyDeleteAs for differing views, they do exist don't they. What we at Montfort strive to achieve is to meet as much expectations as possible. Do be rest assured that the camp has undergone several "updates" along the way and we will continue fine-tuning this
